I've been online since 10am and until now, I still can't make a better template for this site. I mean, what in the blazes is the matter with me??
In just less than a week, I've done 2 layouts for Blogskins w/c I also post here in my free templates site. (Awww, come on.. Why not feign some excitement for me?)
Anyway, the point is, I've made layouts for other people but I can't make a layout for myself. For my personal blog.
I've surfed more than 2 dozens of sites offering goodies (that's what they call it folks), hoping against hope I could at least get inspired and make myself a new layout. (Ah, finally.. I wish.)
Coz you know what, I think I've actually outgrown the whole purple-ish and black-background theme. This version is more than a month, and by looking at other people's layout, I think I need to embrace some change.
I'm so grossed out. Really.
So, btw, can you do me a favor?
I mean, I just couldn't google things always. I need some help.
If you happen to pass by a free site w/c offers a really cool template having 3 columns, no iFrame nor any what you call "box-box blogs", black background (solid! lol..), even though not purple.. please leave a link on my comment box.
Thankies! ;p

Me and Ate Delia went to Nuga Best, BF Homes yesterday morning, 9:30am if my memoru serves me right. And guess what? We had our first ever free test of Nuga Best NM after three hours! 3 hours!
Arrrgh. How uncool is that. :(
Anyway, it's worth the wait. They made us lay our back on a Tourmanium Ceramic Heater Mat (aka "bed") for 40 minutes.
What I love the most is the five-ball projector though. It's kinda hot btw. We need to cover it with some cloth before it can be used on any part of our body. Kewl. ;p

So random..
Anyway, just a pic of my mom and yours truly. Pah! For the umpteenth time, many were mistaken that we're sisters.
It's either I look old or my mom look young, I always thought.
Yeah right.
No way fabbo! There's no choice. Pffft.

Anyway, my Christmas was awesome.
We had a mini party.. I got most of my xmas presents from my dear aunts (father's side). But before that we had lots of games for the children and of course, for the children at heart (including me).
My personal fave was blowing of the flour until you empty the mug. It's cool. After the game's finish, we all looked ghosts.. white faces (even my ears were white with flour) and everything.
The worst part is we all puked. Ewww. The feeling was like some flour went into our nasal cavity. As in, ewwww.. Really.
Anyway, how's your Christmas guys? Was it fun?

*Oh. Before I forgot, happy new year guys!!

OhMiGosh...
I can't believe how I barely blog. It's like I don't care about this site anymore.
I've been so busy (yeah right) like the rest of the world that I sometimes forgot, aside from this blog, I still have another place here in the web... waiting to be updated, to be revamped, etc.
You see, I have a my former blog. It was a bit more personal than this one (w/c brings us to the fact na mas close iyong blog na iyon sa heart ko).
More than a year without updates, I finally got the courage to do what I should have done long ago.
Curious? Well, it's not something to be surprised about. It's totally expected. Why not see for yourself?

Just watched King Kong yesterday in SM Manila with my dear mom and younger brother, Ian.
I walked into Cinema 6 with really high expectations. With Peter Jackson as a director, how could anything go wrong?
Sad to say, you can't please the same person everytime. And in my opinion, that appears true to Jackson.
The movie's visual effects are enthralling, no doubt about that. Local cinema can never make a masterpiece like that, at least not in the very near future.

However, 50 minutes (more or less) had passed and yet there was no sight of the gorilla. I mean, that's the reason why we paid more than a hundred bucks, you know, and then, they bore us with one-hour introduction ek ek. Geez.
Besides, who would ever believe that only few people (less than 5 if my memory serves me right) had died during the stampede of the dinosaurs?? They were targeting what kind of audience? Those stupid ones? People having IQ below 50? Come on!
Some things in the movie are just crap. Plain crap. So if you still haven't watch it, good luck.
My advice is that you enjoy the visual effects and the never ending action scenes. The movie crew focused on it too much that there was so little time to solve many plot holes. Neither the explanation of the origin of the Carl's map nor how they get Kong in the ship was shown.. Too many questions unresolved.
And yet there's one thing I appreciated the most. It's the way Naomi Watts played the character. It was so real. Or maybe, it's just because of her expressive eyes. Whatever.

Just finished reading Dan Brown's Angels & Demons.
And I questioned my religion.. not my faith (unlike what other people said they had questioned).
I know very well that it's fiction, I'm quite aware of that, thankyouverymuch. Still, I can't help but wonder if it's really true that Christianity is just a pure imitation. These are some of the things that made me think that Christianity isn't really that original as it may appeared:
1. "Halos, like much of Christian symbology, were borrowed from the ancient Egyptian religion of sun worship. Christianity is filled with examples of sun worship."
2. "December twenty-fifth, my friends, is the ancient pagan holiday of sol invictus--Unconquered Sun--coninciding with the winter solstice. It's the wonderful time of the year when the sun returns, and the days start getting longer."
3. "The practice of 'god-eating'--that is, Holy Communion--ws borrowed from the Aztecs. Even the concept of Christ dying for our sins is arguably not exclusively Christian; the self-sacrifice of a young man to absolve the sins of his people appears in the earliest tradition of the Quetzalcoatl."
etc, etc, etc...
Aaaahhh.. Truly, I've mixed facts with Brown's genius in the way he narrated the story. It all appeared to be so real.
Pero ang pinaka-nakakatouch for me is this:
The College of Cardinals dropped to their knees to join him in prayer. Outside in St. Peter's Square and around the globe... a stunned world knelt with them.
Of course, you won't appreciate it if you haven't read the book. At saka iyong mga sinabi no'ng camerlengo sa mga tao.
Ah basta. The only thing I could say is that it's one of the best books I've read so far. Favorite ko na rin.
I salute Brown for his astonishing work. You rock!

Just an update
Anyone missed me? Haha.. (It's free to dream, right?)
Anyway, I watched The Fog yesterday. Di ko siya type.
...WARNING: Spoilers below
I hate everything about this movie. As in talaga. Gosh. The script, the actors, the plot.. Everything about the movie is just so lousy. Who would ever believe that after kissing the old ghost, the girl also became one of them. I mean that's just plain stupidity right? And one thing that made me confused was, what was the point if the statue was made incorrectly? I mean, wala namang koneksyon don sa the fog ek ek.
I actually thought that I only wasted more than a hundred pesos just to watch less than half of the entire movie. *frowns*
I've collected other comments from imdb about this movie. Here it goes:
- NO scare factor
- zero chemistry between characters
- completely lousy
- pretty confusing
- the worst
- a piece of garbage
So if you're planning to watch this movie, think again. Like what war_cat2 said: "Avoid this movie at all costs..."

I watched Pinoy Big Brother: The Big Night last night. Err, up to this morning. Hanggang 12:30am kasi iyon eh.
Actually, it was my first time to watch PBB from start until the end. You see, I'm not a PBB fan. But I'm really glad that Nene benifited the most from the whole experience and the prizes.
She really deserved it naman eh. She's very strong-willed and optimistic. At saka, maparaan siyang tao. I once watched the episode wherein Big Brother ordered her to make a small study table. Ang galing niya. Sabi nga nila, she's the "kumander".

~The Secret Behind The Song
The song "12 days of Christmas" was created at a time when Catholics in England where prohibited by law to practice their faith. The Christmas carol was created in order to help young Catholics learn the tenets of their faith. "My true love" doesn't refer to an earthly suitor but to God himself, "me" refers to us, and the "partridge in a pear tree" refers to Jesus Christ. The other symbols mean the following:
2 Turtle Doves = the Old and New Testaments
3 French Hens = the theological virtues; namely, faith, hope and charity
4 Calling Birds = the four Gospels and/or four evangelists
5 Golden Rings = the first five books of the Old Testament (the "Pentateuch")
6 Geese A-Laying = the six days of creation
7 Swans A-Swimming = the seven sacraments
8 Maids A-Milking = the eight beatitudes
9 Ladies Dancing = the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit
10 Lords A-Leaping = the ten commandments
11 Pipers Piping = the eleven faithful apostles
12 Drummers Drumming = the twelve points of doctrine in the Apostles Creed
~from Candy Magazine, December 2005 issue (Candy Rap section)
Actually, I'm not much of a religious person. I don't read Bible that much. But I was able to appreciate the song because I can relate.
I have Theology class with Sir Troy as part of the curriculum. And last sem, with Mr. Cervantes as our lecturer. Even though I didn't read Bible often, at least I have an idea what's the theme of the four Gospels, the Pentateuch, etc..
Besides, hindi man ako ganon ka-relihiyosong tao.. At least, deep inside I know that I'm a spiritual person. In my opinion kasi, religious and spiritual are two different words.

Yhel (the girl beside me on the left) joined the barkada three weeks ago.. And you know what? The first day of december was quite memorable (to me). Coz it was the barkada's first time to eat lunch together. Unbelievable? Haha.. Maybe, you need to read again my old post here to understand what I'm talking about. Geez. I'm happy. But not really that much. Reason? **bites lip** Ack. There are some things better left unsaid. Have a nice day everyone!
**edited (12-05-05) NOTE: I forgot to share that I already watched Just Like Heaven last Saturday (not that you will care, but I will tell anyway). A romantic comedy indeed. I loved David Abbott (Ruffalo)'s facial expression the first time he saw the ghost. Haha.. He's quite funny. He may not look that handsome but he's cool. I liked the way he delivered his lines. I also loved the way he called Elizabeth (Witherspoon) as Lizzie. Nice. And I also loved his facial expression when Elizabeth denied she knew him after she woke up from the coma (fyi, she had a coma for 3 months). Awww... Kaka-touch.
